Katrina Carter is an Entrepreneur, Writer, Speaker, Motivator, Certified Personal Trainer, Nutritional Chef and Wellness Coach. Katrina is a woman who is truly passionate about life. When thinking about all of the things she does, has done and enjoys doing, the word Passion is constant throughout them all.
“So the story goes, her parents were watching The Dating Game, while her mom was pregnant and one of the contestants was named Katrina. Little did they know, 34 years later, the most infamous natural disaster in U.S. History would have the same name. When people joke about this, she likes to say that “She’s a catalyst for change”. Ironically, that is exactly who Katrina is. Yet now, rather than try to fight this, she has chosen to embrace not only change itself, but also her role in assisting others with the changes they desire to make in their lives.”
What makes Katrina’s program different? She shows you how to pinpoint what’s been holding you back because she started with herself and then did the same with her clients as well.
Katrina has always been a fairly active and determined person, keeping her weight between 150-160 lbs., yet as she got older, she found it more difficult to maintain her weight. When she ran 2 marathons, one in 2001 & another in 2003, her weight was around 175 lbs. and she couldn’t seem to find a workout & eating plan to get the weight off. After she had her son in March of 2006 and as the economy changed, she lost her real estate business and allowed her weight to creep up to 210 lbs., the weight she was the day she gave birth. She started working out in January 2010 & lost 15 lbs., but her weight kept fluctuating until she started working out with a personal trainer who listened to what had and hadn’t worked for her in the past. While working with her trainer, her previous athletic experiences as well as her knowledge of nutrition, cooking and coaching all came together and she designed a complete program that took her to another level, so she was able to continually lose weight without hitting a plateau. She lost a total of 60 lbs. and thus began her mission in helping others reach their Health & Fitness Goals.
